Dynabeat for today. Original movement was battery damaged so had to replace with NOS.
Biggest challenge with these is to put in the detent spring for day date wheels.

Re: Is Discussing Fakes Condoning It?

I work for a music company so am well aware of the impact of piracy and how so many I knew lost their positions because of it. Did you watch the Defiant ones one HBO, it's gets into how the whole music industry was wiped out because of the internet and Napster. Not familiar with the show so can't c...

Re: Acrylic Crystal Restore

Great work Mo. A little work on the crystal often provides the best improvement to the look of a vintage watch. If the timing is within a few minutes it is considered acceptable by most vintage horological collectors. I don’t think the above statement is always true. A lot depend on the movement. On a older pin-pallet Timex, I’m with you. On a 1950’s Omega Constellation Chronometer, absolutely not. gatorcpa ...

" Typically my initial response is reply with a return question such as: "What do you consider to be a full service and what tolerance to time variation is acceptable"? But ...

Acrylic Crystal Restore

Here is the base method I use to restore an Acrylic Crystal.
dry paper is rubbed against the scratch
wet paper is a circular rub
dremel at low speed in circular rotations
final polish to add more shine.

Process takes 5 - 10 minutes
