needed to wet sand just a touch or two but, crystal has been dry fit into place. (need to order some cement).

So far its looking good.

well this one I'll call a phoenix watch - from the ashes it rose to beat again.
replace dial, movement, circuit board. paint ring, and a bunch of other tasks.
One more to go and I have the original 4 that were introduced in 1971.

For sale - 1953 Kingdon "cld" Running well - service history not known Only work done by me was to replace the missing #8 - clean the case - added the Lizard band (used size L) the crystal was cracked and I did replace it as well. You may notice a chip in the crown - Dial has a few blemishes but not...

the back is silver colored on a gold frame, telling me this one come apart from behind. Logically i would reason the crystal installs from behind also. I believe I have seen one-piece cases with stainless backs and gold colored bezels, not quite sure. . . . agreed, there are many front loading case...

looks to be snap on . screw down covers have dimples or notches where a tool would be inserted or used to grab.
