Is that the one that had the replaced rotor? If so, I presume that impacted the sale price.
I didn't see it mentioned in the description, but I was only looking if it was in need of repair, so wasn't looking closely.

K-475 on ebay

I was logging sold ebay prices and came across a really nice K-475 that only sold for $2K. What the heck?

Re: Help me learn: why re-dails are mostly ok here?

The tastes of many collectors have changed dramatically over the last few decades. Back in the 80s and 90s if a dial looked worn then it most often went off to the refinisher to be redone. Re: Worst Franken Ever?

This is a great thread. Terrific hearing everyone's perspectives. I recently struggled over a Webster I received, which had a bad balance. I haven't figured out how to fix the balance yet, but I really like the look and size of the Webster compared to other later, smaller models. I happened to also...

Yeah, that's pretty rare. Not sure which movement it's for.

Re: Help me learn: why re-dails are mostly ok here?

It seems like only vintage Hamilton collectors are aware that until the late 40s these watches weren't moisture or dust proof. So, when the elements started to affect the dials, a watchmaker would send the dial out for refinishing while he was servicing it. It was a normal part of a complete service...

Re: Automatic Chrono

Value probably minimum of $500, but look at ebay sold listings for pricing. IMO, $800 is a bit much to get it running again. I'd shop around online (there are numerous watch groups on FB with members who service watches). Try VWR in AZ for a quote. They did my Wakmann triple date chronograph years a...
