Re: WRUW 6.17 through 6/23/18?

Re: Illinois 1915 0s pocket watch

Thanks very much for adding the picture! The casemaker was the Star Watch Case Company (but you probably already knew that).

(I'm fond of "bird" pocket watches and have collected a number of them myself.) Could you post a picture of the inside of the back of the case, ...

One of our forum members, HandyDan, says this on his website: "You might occasionally find a 986 movement and a dial with a 'secon...

Re: WRUW 06/03/18-06/09/18

Great idea, semroc, to post that 1944 Bulova for D-Day! Today I'm continuing the World War II theme with one of Elgin's "Service Watches" from 1942, the Model 6607A: http://mrtoad.net/Media/201806WRUW/Elgin_Military-6607A.jpg And here's a 1942 ad from the Saturday Evening Post that shows my watch's ...

Re: Help me find (replica?) ribbon band for women's Tonneau watch

Ellamama, as I mentioned in my earlier post, it would be helpful to see a picture of your watch. Even without it, however, I can address some of the questions you raised. First of all, for looking at Hamilton's ladies' models, it's easiest to use the thread "Just the Ladies' Catalogs" that is offere...

Re: Waltham with wings logo.

What's airplane no bit, mean?
It means simply that the dial has that logo (wings and propeller of an airplane) and no bit (subsidiary seconds dial).
