Good, I'm glad Mark mentioned the Langley, since I thought it did use female spring bars, but would have had to open my safe to check mine. My Rutledge also has 'em. (And my Illinois Jolly Rogers and Wentworth.)

I think that most of the yellow gold buckles around are much later than the '20s-30s. Comparably fewer white gold models were made after, say, the mid-30s, than before (when the ratio was more like 50-50). Parenthetically, I've never seen a solid green gold Hamilton buckle, though, so perhaps these ...

Adam, when your Ardmore dial was refinished the applied gold markers in the corners were placed in the wrong position. The edges of the markers should be parallel to the vertical minute track as in the second photo below. Sometimes the dial refinishers miss this little detail... but it is easily co...

Mirabile dictu, I didn't purchase a Hamilton in 2018! (Probably the first year thus since I started collecting 20 years ago.) However, I bought a better dial for my Rutledge (thanks, Mark), and a better strap for my Ardmore.
