Has this 485 been re-cased?

This is a 7j 4/0 485 in great shape, EXCEPT that I cannot find it in Bruce's book:

Re: Models with male and female lugs?

For vintage female spring bars, you might need to carefully measure the width of the end holes.

Search for Female Springbars Large End Hole to find the ones that'll fit.

Re: Model 1629 Home Run

Thank you very much, Air.

Is there a good online source for the 29-30 and the 30-31 catalogs?

I only know of the ones Magpie and Mr. Toad generously shared at www.vintagewatchforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=5001

Re: Help me learn: why re-dials are mostly ok here?

There's a parallel in real estate. If you're the current guardian of an old living space, although you want it to fun...

Replacement Hands for Illinois Lady's Watches

Can anyone suggest a source of watch hands for Illinois lady's watches? Sadly, I need to replace the minute hand on this Lady's Glenna: s-l1600 (3).jpg Here's another picture of what the hands looks like: Glenna.jpg I believe these are standard lady's deco watch hands. I checked the replacement hand...

Re: What is this?

Thank you (as always), Bryan!

For some reason, I cannot find this in Bruce Shawkey's Elgin Wristwatches book, but I do see it in a 1928 Elgin ad in the Wilkes-Barre Record newspaper at https://www.newspapers.com/clip/5374503 ... _elgin_ad/.
