Re: Hamilton Boxes

I've seen the '38 catalog pages that show the long Ivory boxes, but not the short ones. My Watson fits this one perfect, hoping it would be correct.
Anyone know otherwise?

Re: WRUW 9/17 through 9/23/2017?

My '37 Watson and my wife's '32 Wellesley, she bought it a few weeks ago and it had a gummed up movement, fortunately the 989 is common, so I found a good one on eBay and swapped them out.

'68 Seaward II, now that I've found a strap I like on it, I see I don't wear this one enough.
Now I'm off to go look at watches 😉

Re: latest acquisition

That's beautiful, didn't realize that was yours in the Illinois photo thread. The one directly below it wears the same type of hands as mine, so now I'm thinking my hands may be original.

Re: WRUW 9/3 through 9/9/2017?

Having one of my treatments today(IV in the left arm for 8 hours). Went vintage today as I needed something lighter and smaller on my wrist. Modern watches are certainly heavier, even at 42mm. Anyway, went with this 1950 Elgin (6802) bumper. The dial has a solid patina, but the lugs and unique case...

Re: latest acquisition

Thank you G, it's my first Illinois and I'm quiet pleased to have found one in this condition.
The demaskeen is impressive and evident of the workmanship in these movements.

I just ordered a new strap for it and will get some better pictures when that comes in.

Any pictures of yours?

Re: Dear EBay Sellers:

Dear EBay sellers, you've taken the movement and dial out of the case to get a picture of the movement, now turn the movement over and get us a picture of the dial that we couldn't see through the scratched up crystal., and for God's sake nobody cares if the cheap replacement band says "Genuine Leat...
