Illinois Blackstone with a new, unchipped, crystal!! 1116171353e.jpg Gorgeous Blackstone. One I've yet to pick up. For me today, my lovely WGF Illinois Trophy. Re: What do I have here?

Hi Greg,

Why is this aYorktown? Is it because of the subs at 6???

Are they more sought after than a standard new yorker etc?

Would Yorktown have come with a strap or a bracelet?

Not one I've heard of, v interesting

Andy:)

Re: What do I have here?

That is probably one of the most worn new yorker/5th Avenue/Manhattans that I've seen... But with a lovely dial!

G My thinking on this was the font and numbers looked great, as did the dial, but from previous posts of other dials, ...

Transitional Illinois, Fancy Engraving.

Very nice Greg, and a stunning engraved case. Interesting how the printing carries on over the edge of the dial and down into the recessed seconds dial section. Is that dial original?

Hamilton Cambridge

Did anyone here snap up that platinum Cambridge on Ebay yesterday (item 272896812254)? Went for $971 in the end (brilliant estimate Dan!). Looks like it will clean up beautifully, just a bit too rich for me at the moment (one day maybe).

I only started a year or two back, and am now happily servicing and restoring my own watches. There is a wealth of info on there. Tools you will definitely need to start with : A good set of w...
