Garage Sale Finds! Elgin Pocket watches!

I just picked up 3 Elgin pocket watches (and 20 other watches and parts) at a garage sale for $9 USD! The two in a pocket watch case actually still work. I have 3 questions. 1. Does anyone have an approximate year on these watches (the one outside of the case is 1912/13) 2. How do I open the other t...

"Pet" Brnded Swiss watch w/ A. Schild movement Gerber Cs Bk

I found this for $8USD and it looked very interesting. I am not sure if it is a marriage watch or not, but the face / watch hands look pretty old. The face says Pet and on the bottom Swiss. On the movement, it says "A. Schild" 1 Jewel, 1 Adjustment. The caseback says Gerber Swiss. Maybe someone here...

Vintage 1945 Elgin Watch Thrift Store Find

I found this amazing watch at a Thrift Store (It is a part time job) for $17.50 and I found this amazing gold colored, Elgin watch in amazing shape, for the age. Opening it up the serial number said its from 1945. I was wondering if anyone knew anything else about this neat watch! History and the li...

Vintage Buren Art Deco Watch ID :)

I picked this neat looking vintage (1930s maybe?) Art Deco looking Buren watch at a thrift store for $18USD. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this neat looking watch? When I tried to pop the back off the watch, the whole watch came out of the crystal and band and being new to watches...

Vintage Cubo Desk Clock question

Ok, I know this is not a watch, but it is a timekeeper. I got this neat vintage Cubo Desk Clock with what seems to be an old school vintage LED display. The display kind of reminds me of one of those old Pulsar LED watches. I googled this thing and all I could find was a couple pictures of it, no hi...

Antique D.D. Neveren London Pocket Watch (lots of pics)

I just got a good deal on an antique possibly 1700's (not sure though) pocket watch. It is marked D.D. Neveren London. I have photos of the watch and very close ups of the movement and the dial. I believe it is silver and has a ruby movement. I was just wondering if anyone knows much about this watc...

Is this a Fake Movado? (99% sure it is) want to ask experts

I found this at a thrift store and it looked good one the outside, but when I opened it up to change the battery, the movement does not look Movado quality at all. It is a no jeweled movement made in Singapore and the inside of the case back says made in China. I am almost certain it is fake. I just...

Cheval Design Studio ST006 Watch questions :)

I found this watch for $4USD and it really intrigued me because of the real wood face and interesting metal design around the crystal. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this Cheval Design Studio model ST006 watch? Google does not have anything on this brand! Is it a vintage or a newer on...

Unbranded, Vintage Red LED watch ID please :)

I found this random Vintage Red LED watch at a thrift store for $4 USD. It seems to be missing part of the front where probably the brand name was. It is definitely vintage and not a new copy of a watch because of the way the LED lights up (hard to say what is different, but it is) and the amount of...

Seiko 5 Automatic clasp is missing a pin to hold it together

I recently acquired (in a large lot of watched for only $15 USD) a vintage working Seiko 5 Automatic watch that was in great shape except the fact that there seems to be a pin missing on the watch band clasp as seen in the photos. I was wondering where I could find the correct pin so I can fix this ...
