Re: Hamilton Oval on Ebay.

So, I just checked and there are 3D printers that use 14K gold for the material. Or, they can use the model to make a metal casting and then plate it. Send the company a model, they give you an estimate. It would be awesome for watch case parts. https://www.shapeways.com/materials/ That is awesome....

Re: A Hamilton by any other name...Vantage!

All these Vantage ads and crazy watches are making me wish I had been around for the late '60s and early '70s. Pretty wild, swingin' stuff.

Re: What is eBay doing now

I'm now getting mixed results clicking on the "see original listing" link. Sometimes it takes me to the original listing, other times it takes me to similar items.

Re: Mystery wrist watch from around 1900

I'd go a little earlier than that, but not around 1900. Why is it that we believe the watch is older than 1918? To my eyes, it looks like it could be from around then, or later, but not much earlier.

Even knowing next to nothing about WWII military watches, the quality of the engraving alone would be enough to make me run.

Re: Something different

If I'm learning from JerryT correctly, I think that movement uses a Roskopf pin-pallet escapement. Not that I really unedrstand that, but they seem to have a unique look.

The eBay bracelet is gone already!
Sorry, should have PM'd it to you. ;) It had been there for a while until I posted that link.
