The grayer area is the sort of "fantasy" watches that some choose to knowingly put together just because they like it

Re: Post Your Favorite Hamilton Purchase of 2018

I also have two but, as they are kinda the same thing, I trust you will forgive me.... 1942 Model 22 ships' chronometer; all original, with all boxes and fittings. . Chronometer 22_boxed set_lores.jpg . . . And, to mark Hamilton's 120th anniversary, the 2012 homage to the Model 22, the Khaki Navy Pi...

Re: Vancott, 10k & 14k

I came across my production records for these last week while looking for something else. I can't remember if they were for the 987-S or 748 Vancott. I'll review them in the next day or so and see what they reveal. Looking forward to seeing what you can find Bryan. I think there's a story to be tol...

Hamilton Khaki Navy Pioneer Automatic H777150

I love this classic look; homage to Hamilton's WWII ships' chronometers.

Re: don't get the rolex, and omega thing.

I'm with you. I don't mind Oh-meagres - but I simply just don't like Rolexes. I've seen one years ago with a white dial and blued steel hands which was OK but other than that I cannot see any visual appeal whatsoever.

Cool cat, but did you get the watch?
It's a wall clock. I'm still trying to decide if I want it.

'tis the Season (to be silly?)

Browsing ebay (as we do right ;) ) and the following suggestions popped up. I am surprised at the asking price at a couple of these - and numerous other BIN auctions for watches being sold right now. - Is this simply a tactic to start a negotiation? - Or do these vendors genuinely believe these watc...

Re: Post Your Mystery Hamiltons Here.

Dave - Wondering what's the board's policy on adding pics. If they are in the public space and accredited here are they OK to use?

Reason for asking is that I spotted a 61008-4 here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/183559445961 and noted that this model is not in the current photo catalogue

Inserting numerous thumbs up emojis! Very cool to see history unfolding (or not) in writing.
