Re: AVOID like the Plague! NOT a REAL Depollier Product

I've seen some low down dirty things in my time in the antique watch world but this one takes the cake! The listing was never changed. The listing was never removed, which is what should have happen immediately. He fully knew that this watch was a fraud but he sold it grossly misrepresented as a gen...

Re: AVOID like the Plague! NOT a REAL Depollier Product

What possible difference could it make what day it is when somebody IS IN FACT going to get ripped off? It's been 5 DAYS since I pointed out that this watch is a complete and utter fraud and the seller has NOT done the honorable thing and REMOVED the listing from ebay. Simply "updating" the listing ...

AVOID like the Plague! NOT a REAL Depollier Product

I spotted one to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE on ebay this morning. The seller claims that the sterling silver case was made by "DEPOLLIER". This is simply NOT true. The bezel and case back were made by Depollier. BUT, the case center was in fact NOT made by Depollier. Somebody simply put a Depollier bezel...

Armistice Day, WWI Waltham Trench Watch

I've had a very long time to think about which watch I'll be wearing on 100 year anniversary to the end of the Great War, aka Armistice Day, Remembrance Day or Veterans Day. I have come to my decision, I will be wearing the Waltham Depollier Waterproof & Dustproof Trench Watch. The historical advanc...

Re: 1917 WWI Burlington "Aviator" Trench Watch

Yeah, this not an exception to the rule, many straps were attached with the buckle end at the 6 o'clock position. I noticed shortly after I posted this that I put the strap on opposite of the advert. I changed the strap to how it is configured in the advert last night. Several Elgin Trench Watch and...

1917 WWI Burlington "Aviator" Trench Watch

I picked this one up a couple of weeks ago. Just finished putting it back together a few days ago. 1917 WWI Burlington "Aviator" Trench Watch. Nice 17 jewel movement, it was seized up, took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. Running very well for the past several days, great timing, high amplitud...
