Re: I have a really nice wife

Being a wrist collector having an Illinois as your first pocket watch it’s a great choice. Good woman.

Re: WRUW 2/18/18 through 2/24/18

14kt solid yellow Elgin Wheaton. Yes it was me that bought it. If I was competing against any of you I’m sorry. I had to have it. ;) It came out great. It is running a Swiss elgin Automatic 644. I think this is the only Swiss auto Elgin I have come across with the small seconds. Anyone know of any o...

Re: Deco Hamilton watch unsure of model

In a photography course I took it covered art styles and they defined the deco period for art starting in France from 1912-to as late as 1939

Where do you guys think it falls as far as watches are concerned?
Oh and nice watch. I like it.

Platinum Longines 1940’s seeking information

Ok. A friend of mine sent me this Longines to repair. It had a dirty and magnatized hairsping and a loose cannon pinion. Both things were easily fixed while servicing it. It’s now running great. I am unfamiliar with these. I believe it is from 1945 if I dated the movement correctly. It is a platinum...

Re: WRUW 2/11 through 2/17/2018?

Elgin. Very art deco. 15 jewel, 14K case. http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r608/randy_van/Elgin_zpsqy2swxge.jpg I am truly envious of that one. Absolutely awesome. I have tried a few times to buy that model when it surfaces which rarely happens and either I am to late or they go out of range for...
