Re: Deco Hamilton watch unsure of model

In a photography course I took it covered art styles and they defined the deco period for art starting in France from 1912-to as late as 1939

Where do you guys think it falls as far as watches are concerned?
Oh and nice watch. I like it.

Platinum Longines 1940’s seeking information

Ok. A friend of mine sent me this Longines to repair. It had a dirty and magnatized hairsping and a loose cannon pinion. Both things were easily fixed while servicing it. It’s now running great. I am unfamiliar with these. I believe it is from 1945 if I dated the movement correctly. It is a platinum...

Re: WRUW 2/11 through 2/17/2018?

Elgin. Very art deco. 15 jewel, 14K case. http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r608/randy_van/Elgin_zpsqy2swxge.jpg I am truly envious of that one. Absolutely awesome. I have tried a few times to buy that model when it surfaces which rarely happens and either I am to late or they go out of range for...

Re: Lady and Tiger watch

Be careful. I inherited my grandfathers watch and went searching for information. That was well over 300 watches ago. No matter how you proceed enjoy this history of it all.

Re: Ebay Buyer - Hall of Shame!

I just had one where the buyer simply changed their mind. Ok. Send it back. No problem. I want happy buyers anyway. Did not send it back so they didn’t get a refund. However they left me bad feedback saying I wouldn’t take it back. People can just be difficult. I had one someone stole parts out of a...

Re: Lady and Tiger watch

A picture of the movement would help any potential buyer know what year and grade movement it is. It make a difference in value if it is correct for this model. Having the wrong dial will lead buyers to believe the movement was swapped out from another watch. That may be the case but a picture would...
