Re: The Holy Grail has arrived

If that's the original photo, how come it's a mirror image??? Look at the watch numbers. :D I have no idea. I bought this about 2 years ago (i think) from eBay. Instead of digging it out, I just used the original sellers auction image to post here. Apparently they mirrored it. Feel free to delete i...

Re: The Holy Grail has arrived

Very cool!

I have this original press photograph of Dorothy McDonell and I thought it was the same watch, but it doesn't look like it is.

Re: Show your Cushions!

When I first saw the title, I was hesitant to click on the link. I wasn't sure what I was going to see. :D ;)

Nice watches all!

Re: Townsman on ebay

I really hate it when the seller does NOT use the magnifier option on photos (on ebay) You really need it when checking out small details on small things. Same here! It makes me wary too. As far as I know, any photos over 500 pixels will automatically get the magnify option when uploaded to eBay an...

Re: Looking for a Hamilton Mark VI ad and Information.

Mark, Thank you for checking with your contact. I appreciate it. I was thinking the quartz versions came out as a re-issue by Hamilton in the late 80's. Some of the 70's dials were marked Buren, some Vantage and some were unmarked. I would love to see the plates. If you ever want to sell them, keep ...

Looking for a Hamilton Mark VI ad and Information.

Does anyone happen to know when Hamilton first started using this case/watch design. I believe it is called a Mark VI.

Hamilton released a Bullwinkle and Dudley Do-Right using this watch. Does anyone happen to have an ad for it?

Thanks!

Re: This Will Be Fun To Watch

I know they are incredibly rare, but no idea of the value. I've never seen one at auction. Here is a quote from a Hodinkee article. "The reference 7923 that you see here is one of Tudor's rarest production watches, and an interesting one for any Rolex dive-watch collector. This reference is the only...

Re: Hey, what's this? Photo heavy thread.

Dave,

Now that it has been awhile, how do you like the watch?

I'm thinking of getting a Ball Fireman for every day use.

Any complaints?
