Nice looking watch in very good condition.

The inscription is interesting.
A very good friend of mine worked for Sciaky here in the UK they manufacture welding machinery.
Sciaky Inc is based in Illinois.

Just some more useless information to store.

Yes keeping Greg busy, but he enjoys it as well. My Black Knight also went for a service. I have a couple of old movements that I will have a play with removing hands, removing the dial etc, but as for going any further I am unsure. If I had started this a few years ago things may have been differen...

Dear all, Another rescued from the scrap heap. Its had a strip and rebuild by Greg Ward in the UK. No internal parts needed Greg said it was just filthy inside. It's here and better than expected. Nice engraving on the back that gives the watch a bit of history, I just hope Archie liked his Christmas gift, just over 62 years ago. I have a Sycamore coming that needs a new dial model 5539 can anyone assist?
