Re: Hamiltons in the Movies

We were watching "Silent Witness", a BBC series from the 1990's, on Amazon Prime. In Season 2, Episodes 7 & 8, a major clue in the murder is a Hamilton Ventura (it actually looks like a Pacer to me).

I think the 1001 is the grade designation.

All very cool. An 0 size with a center second. The serial number on the 982 (1001) "Masterpiece" is interesting.

Re: Second Gen Square: Seconds @ 9

I have two Squares with subs at nine. The one on the left, green gold, has a 986; the one on the right, green gold filled, has a 986A (this one was on the cover of Rene's Collector's Guide book). Neither, as you can see, has a 6A imprint inside the case back.

Re: Opinions - Thoughts

I've seen this before. A company decides to start giving long term employees a watch after 10, or 15, or 25 years, and have employees that are employed longer. The solution is to give those employees watches retroactively, based on their starting date.

Re: New Watch idenitifed

Mark is a better photographer and will post a better picture, but, design wise, you can see that, when making a 14k version of the Boone, the lugs were moved inward to accommodate a 5/8" strap. The reeded (coin) edge was removed and replaced with the bumped out edges so from the top the look of the ...
