Re: trouble attaching photo

For some reason i can't attach a photo to a PM. Get error message like "the file extension .jpeg is not allowed." Does not seem to matter what the extension is, jpg or png or whatever. The files are not large (90 kb). Unfortunately, our forum messaging software does not allow images. A workaround w...

The example for the Ventura, more so then the others, looks like a model for making casting waxes. Is it?
That's interesting. Does anyone remember the Ventura and Pacer wax casts that showed up on eBay last year?

Re: Hamilton Electric Savitar II

Hands and crown are not original, which can sometimes mean that the original Electric movement has been replaced with a non-factory, after-market quartz movement. When you have your watchmaker change the battery, ask her to grab a photo of the movement for you.

Band is not original either, just FYI.

I'm not certain that the other wat...

Re: NAWCC Hamilton Archival Project

Will this archivist work in partnership with any of the (our, LOL) established vintage Hamilton experts? Seems like she already has a few questions that could likely be answered by them. . . .

The 18 K Solid Gold, Highly Engraved Rectangular. A large, spectacular Hamilton, only the third and no doubt the finest I’ve ever owned.
:o You only have 3 Hamiltons and one of them is a Rectangular? Kudos to you!

Re: Post Your Favorite Hamilton Purchase of 2018

I'm torn. I have two. First is an 18k YG Ventura I picked up in November. Second, a WG Diamond Dial Ventura I literally stumbled onto last month. Now the hunt for a Rose Gold Ventura and someone in need of the kidney I'll have to sell to fund it. Nicholas, my wallet hurts just looking at thos...
